The main focus of our practice is the kata (two-person forms) that have been handed down in our tradition but we also study fundamental martial arts’ movements and the usage of various weapons, as well as practice wearing armor; the weapons we use in our practice are also made by us.
Member of the Nihon Kobudo Shinkokai (Japan Classical Martial Arts Promotion Association) and participant in its events.
We also participate in demonstrations that take place at the Oshika Jinja shrine in Ogano, in Saitama Prefecture’s Chichibu to honor the sword master Suneya Ryosuke (Bukosai) who gave our school its name.
Teachers who have been granted a shihan (instructor) license by the 19th soke (headmaster), Nitta Suzuo, have opened dojo in various countries and members from these dojo often come to practice with us in Japan.
